Small breads from Barbados
Makes 10 breads, Takes 25 min
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of white flour
- 2 tsp. of baking powder
- 2 tbs. of sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
- 2 tsp. of melted butter
- 1/2 cup of milk
- Water
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together.
- Add the butter and mix well.
- Add the eggs, the milk, and enough water to obtain a dough that is easy
to shape.
- Work the dough and divide it into 10 small balls. Flatten them down and
place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake them in the oven for 15 min.
Comments:
This recipe is the fastest way I know of to make bread. And it turns out that
these small flat breads are delicious as well! Serve them warm and reheat them
when eating them later.
