This mod makes the ring more fun to play with. Instead of adding a flat 50-point bonus to stamina and health, your cannibal toon will now have to feast at least three times within two minutes get the same bonus.
Namira's champion will also feel a rush of adrenaline whenever engaging in a killing and feasting frenzy.
Higher bonuses to health, stamina and regeneration to both as well as longer durations will be available if the champion embraces Namira's rewards and wears her ring for long periods of time.
The vanilla boosts of 50 points to health and stamina are very powerful at early levels, because they raise the PC level by 10. A boost like that is unbalanced, considering that the ring can be acquired before level 5. The game would be more rewarding if those values were initially lower, but could be raised based on how many times the champion feasts.
This idea is realized in form of a "killing spree". If the champion feasts on a corpse before the boost duration expires, they get the next boost level. This continues up to a limit of nine levels.
Notes:
(progression requirements)
Higher levels of regeneration and fortification are available
only after developing a taste for raw flesh. To unlock those effects,
the champion must feast on a number of corpses (tweakable via global variables
_da11_requirement_4
– _da11_requirement_9
):
feast on corpses to get more powerful boosts
boost level | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
corpse tally | 12 | 17 | 23 | 30 | 38 | 47 |
After reaching level 9 of cannibalism, every feast will count as three. All bonuses are lost if the ring is taken off. That includes resetting the corpse and killing spree counters.
Since the main intention is to make this ring less dull and more action oriented, the original duration of five minutes is reduced at earlier levels.
Reduced durations at earlier levels
boost level | 1-3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
duration (min) | 2 | 2.5 | 3.5 | 3.5 | 4 | 4 | 6 |
These values are relevant to all boosts except the stamina regeneration boost, which lasts for 30 seconds at all levels.
In the graphs and tables below, the Stamina and Health regeneration values are
percentages that are added to Actor Values healthRateMult
and
staminaRateMult
. HP and Stamina (fortification) are flat points
that are added to Health and Stamina.

Eating raw flesh is not exactly sanitary. Because of this it is only reasonable that it is possible to catch a disease while doing so. Diseases that are possible to catch include:
infection chances
feast item | disease chance |
---|---|
rotten corpse | 90% |
npc killed by npc | 5% |
npc killed by player | 5% |
npc killed by creature | 45% |
falmer, giants | 30% |
ingredient | 15% |
vampire | 46% to get S.V. |
I'm not opposed to compatibility (or balance compromise with) other popular mods and will try to release patches (to the best of my ability) if support for a particular mod is requested. This is of course not a binding statement on my part.
When I release a patch like this, it's not guaranteed to be perfect. I don't necessarily play the mod and so my testing will be limited to the bare minimum. Please provide feedback so I can fine tune support for other mods.

Realistic needs and diseases: One corpse or ingredient = medium bottle of water + filling meal.
Souvenir Heads and Useful remains: Ads a few recipes to make an alternative Cranial Hooch and allows PC
to eat collected livers.
Feedback is highly welcome. If anyone is interested, some ideas I have for later releases of the mod, include:
If the player has less health left than the currently granted bonus and no health regeneration (from another mod, or this), they will die by the time a waiting (T) period is over or when the bonus expires. This is true for the original Ring of Namira as well.
I have stumbled upon the multiple-feedings bug similar to the vampire feeding bug. This was adressed in 0.21 and 0.22 and I'm starting to think that I got it right.
Feeding animations do not play (sometimes? never?). This is not a major annoyance for me and I'm not looking to solve it, but if someone knows how to fix this I'll try to work it in as an option.

Consumption of human flesh is illegal all over the world. It is no joking matter. The author of this mod does not endorse sadism, cannibalism, murder, torture or any other activities involving deprivation of human rights.
Please do not post links (comments thread) to graphical content or articles / stories involving cannibalism or other degenerate acts from the real world.
