My Hobbies I played the organ for 9 years up until 1991, when I moved to Trondheim, for educational purposes. For years I didn't play much myself. However, over the last year I've been trying to catch up with these activities, but the musical community has changed quite a bit since then. Currently I'm using a PC-180 MIDI keyboard attached to my home-computer, trying to compose a masterpiece or two. I'm using the CuBase program to record my pices and amend my initial musical ideas. I've found this program quite helpful, and easy to use. Maybe I'll have some of music published on this site soon. I've been trying to pick up on scuba diving as well. In '96 I took a Padi Open Water course, but unfortunately I haven't had a single dive since then. However I'm hoping to gradually win back the world under water again. It really is good therapy. This year I'm definitely taking up golfing as a hobby. I got a full set of Cobra golf clubs from my wife when we got married last summer. (She really is something else, isn't she :-) Actually I've been planning to take a "grønt kort" (which you need to have to play golf here in Norway) for 4 years, so this year I'd better do it. My best friend has tricked me onto the golf course with him a few thimes last summer. I blame him for making me yet another golf-addict. This summer I'm looking forward to playing him - and of course it's needless to say I'll beat him. Last year I registered the www.vandvik.com domain which I'm currently webmastering. This was set up to be a resource for people in my family, since it can be hard keeping track of the family when we live so far apart. In this setting the internet is a fabulous tool.
